New Award
A new award, Royal Designer for the Industry, will be awarded to one top South African designer, who has made a significant contribution to the South African industry in many ways. Not only that he or she has worked to create and pave a pathway for designers, fashion and other industry bodies, but also most importantly is an African warrior.
Conference
The fashion week includes 'Designer Meets Industry', a developmental platform, which is free to all participating designers to introduce them to the members of the fashion industry, the media and other stakeholders who might be looking to source their next big designer. It offers designers and the industry an opportunity to be part of the South African fashion experience and create an understanding of each designer's vision and mission.
