The Siyabuswa Mall, scheduled to be opened on 25 September, is a modern and minimalistic designed centre, housing anchor tenant, anchor Cashbuild and Roots Butchery. The development of reduces the outflow of purchasing power from the market but the capital investment of R156 million and approximately 688 direct new jobs will result in an expansion of the local municipal tax base.
A 3500m2 Shoprite and major retailers including JetMart, Roots Butchery, Edcon Group, Pepkor Group and a number of furniture stores and fast food restaurants anchor Burgersfort Mall, which opens on 27 September 2012.
"The location is accessible to local motorised and pedestrian shoppers and those from neighbouring Steelpoort and surrounding areas. Getting there is made even more convenient through the centre's direct access off the R37 and its proximity to the CBD and main taxi rank. Public transport facilities will also be provided for at the centre and improvements to the surrounding roads will form an integral part of the development," says Hannetjie Ludick of Heriot Properties.
