Pick 'n Pay, Shoprite sign for Soweto City

Ready to break ground in January 2012, Soweto City's co-developer Mark Brown, CEO of The Brown Group (TBG), has announced that the mall has signed up both Pick 'n Pay and Shoprite as anchor tenants.

According to Brown, extensive research showed the people of Soweto had Pick n Pay and Shoprite on top of their wish-list, so why not provide them with both?

This first phase is already 90% let and there is a positive uptake in tenant demand from retailers. The company is in final negotiations with the local nationals and some international brands are planned for the centre.

The intention of the leasing team is to ensure that the right tenant mix will fill up all three phases for the people of Soweto.
