World-class shopping under one roof

With only a few months left until the opening of the R1,2-billion Mall of the North, Limpopo's single largest property investment, consumers can look forward to a greatly enhanced shopping diversity.

The massive 75000m² Mall of the North shopping centre in Polokwane is expected to draw shoppers from across the province and further afield with its 180 new shops offering a wide selection of leading brands and fashion.

The mall, which is expected to open on 14 April 2011, is owned and developed by JSE-listed company Resillient Property Income Fund, Flanagan and Gerard Property Development and Investment and Moolman Group.

Easy access

Situated in the area of Bendor on the junction of the N1 (eastern bypass of Polokwane) and the R81 Modjadjiskloof (Duiwelskloof) Road, the mall will provide easy access from the N1, with close proximity to national and provincial roads.

"In 2011 a whole new retail realm will be unveiled to the province with the opening of the Mall of the North," said Patrick Flanagan director at Flanagan and Gerard.

"The new super-regional shopping centre will open up the finest dining, shopping and entertainment opportunities."

While Jannie Moolman of the Moolman Group said: "Shoppers will no longer have to travel outside the province to experience world-class shopping. It will be right here and under a single roof."

Economic growth

Johann Kriek, executive director of Resilient, said: "In addition to an impressive variety of top retailers, the shopping centre will also bring economic growth and job creation to the province."

Anchor tenants at the mall include two supermarkets that are in excess of 5000m², Pick n Pay and Checkers, joined by Edgars, Woolworths and Game.

Shoppers will also enjoy leading international labels and boutiques, including Fashion World, Milady's, Truworths, Fashion Express, Poetry, Foschini, Markhams, Guess, Timberland, Mr Price, Forever New and Sport Scene.

Technology fanatics will be catered for through Incredible Connection, Audio Corporation, PC Worx and Dion Wired.

For costume pieces and other accessories shoppers will find it all at Arthur Kaplan, Galaxy Jewellers, Sterns, Sass Diva, Funky Fish, Debbie Mouton Jewellers and more.
