The Hospitality Property Fund is a property loan stock company that invests exclusively in hotel and leisure properties and is a publicly traded company listed on the JSE.

Currently under management by Arabella Starwood Hotels South Africa, The Westin Cape Town, which is situated adjacent to the Cape Town International Convention Centre, will now be managed by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, owners of the international Westin Brand.

    Same service excellence

Friedrich Schaefer, COO of Starwood South Africa, said: "The change in ownership of The Westin Cape Town will have no effect on clients, suppliers or hotel guests whatsoever. The hotel, which has been part of the Starwood network for the past eight years, will continue to deliver the same service excellence and superior five star accommodation and facilities."

The Arabella Western Cape Hotel & Spa and the Arabella Golf Course, located on the Arabella Golf Estate, has been sold in conjunction with 460 hectares of undeveloped land adjacent to the hotel. The hotel will be managed by Protea Hospitality Group under their African Pride brand.
