After years in the marine industry, James founded Nautic Africa, which focuses on the manufacture of high quality aluminium vessels and other custom commercial and naval vessels. From its roots in Simon's Town Naval Dockyard, Nautic Africa now has a main production facility in the Cape Town Harbour and caters for clients globally.
