Customers' SMS campaign results in dream fulfilment for schools
In support of the Dreamfields project, Edgars contributed over R600 000, made possible through a SMS campaign that took place at the end of last year, when customers and employees were invited to donate R5 to the project.
The donation took place in Phomolong, Kroonstad (Free State) at the end of July, in addition to the main sponsorship, the group has given Dreambags to 14 primary schools and at least eight high schools in Phomolong. Each Dreambag includes everything needed for a team of children to play soccer, such as shorts, shirts, socks, boots, shin pads and balls.
