SA to host International tobacco conference

SA will host the third Conference of Parties on Tobacco Control in November.

The conference will bring together signatories of the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control to discuss steps to reduce the harmful effects of tobacco.

SA had been chosen in recognition of the work it had done to tighten controls on tobacco products, the health department said on Thursday.
