New releases from Shannon Vineyards
Shannon Vineyards has released its Sanctuary Peak Sauvignon Blanc 2010 and two 2009 reds, Mount Bullet Merlot and Rockview Ridge Pinot Noir and offers a limited release Macushla Pinot Noir Noble Late Harvest, which received 4½ Stars in the 2011 Platter's Wine Guide. It retails at around R150.

The Sauvignon Blanc 2010 was awarded 4½ Stars in the 2011 Platter's Wine Guide and, at a US Wine of the Month Club's tasting was rated number one Sauvignon Blanc in 2010. It is packaged in a lighter weight bottle (to decrease carbon footprint) with a screw cap closure and retails at around R108.
The Mount Bullet has been compared to a Pomerol in a ripe year. It can be enjoyed now or until 2016 and retails for around R285. The Pinot Noir 2009 can be enjoyed now or until 2020 and retails around R250.
