The First Sighting Shiraz 2011 is described as full-bodied with spicy pepper and mocha aromas and a minute Viognier component, boasting a vibrant red berry fruit flavours and a creamy finish. It is recommended with hearty beef stew, Thai duck or springbok sirloin. It is available from the vineyard's tasting rooms at R70 or from wine stores and wine merchants nationwide.
The 2011 Durbanville Hills Pinotage offers sweet, ripe red berry fruit and red cherry flavours combine with a hint of vanilla on the nose that leads to a rich, fruity character in this mouth-filling wine. It goes exceptionally well with Parma ham, venison or pork fillets wrapped in bacon, moussaka and mild Gouda. It retails for about R75 and is available from most supermarkets, liquor outlets and the cellar.
