Tampons designed to provide the last line of defence

All women have those few items that they consider to be their last line of defence in emergencies - lip ice, gum, and floss or a mirror and manicure set in your handbag. Most women have tampons in their handbags but do these tampons offer a true last line of defence?

According to Kotex, their Ultrasorb tampon is claimed to do just that. The new product was designed with an extra zone of protection, right where it is needed most, to keep women confident, even on the heaviest days of their period. "Each tampon has a blue safety zone at the base made of special Ultrasorb material that quickly draws in potential leaks and locks them away," says Li-Anne Hide, brand manager for Kotex. In addition, the tampon has a smooth and silky cover for easier insertion.

The Kotex Ultrasorb tampons will be available in mini, normal and super in box sizes of 16's and 32's.
