LG Electronics South Africa, moved to its new offices last week and held an official inauguration, presided over by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Dr Gwen Mahlangu Nkabinde. It also announced it is now a Level 6 Black Economic Empowered certified company - reportedly a first for a company of its kind in South Africa.
Moreover, just as the group in South Korea has earmarked South Africa for mammoth growth, so has it chosen the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality to be its new home, with easy access to all freeways as well as being in close proximity to its biggest distributor MassMart. Its new location is also visible from the N3 highway, ensuring that its offices become a recognisable landmark around Johannesburg.
