Flipflop fit for a man

Many men have overdone done it at the gym or on the sports field, and now have aching knees and stiff ankles. Offering a solution to the problem, Fitflop has launched a specially designed shoe for men that incorporates patent-pending microwobbleboard technology to maximize muscle-load while reducing joint strain.

The Dass Fitflop has been specifically designed to help sportsmen with warm up/cool down, and with the aim to provide relief for those with old injuries, arthritis, or aching joints and bad backs.

Founded by USA personal trainer Marcia Kilgore, and engineered by podiatric biomechanist Dr David Cook, FitFlop shoes feature a multi-density midsole to maximize muscle-load while the wearer is on the move while minimisinge the feeling of joint force. With a firm heel strike to reduce shock (by 36% in every step), a soft midstep section to add a wobbleboard workout (12-15% more muscle load in every step) and a harder toe-off section for speed, the Dass Fitflop is wearable pain relief for men everywhere.

Dr Philip Graham-Smith, a consultant biomechanist for UK Athletics and head of the directorate of sport at Salford University says: “Our belief is that walking in FitFlop shoes promotes better force alignment and a biomechanically correct gait, reducing stress on the knee. For athletes or people recovering from or dealing with a variety of old injuries, the relief felt could be significant.”

Dass Fitflop's are available at Wellness Warehouse, Step Ahead and other selected retailers nationwide at a recommended retail price of R649.00. For more information, visit: www.fitflop.co.za.
