A fairytale wedding and other customer relationsThe e-tail wedding of the season has been prepping since the Competition Commission gave its blessing in January and it is now official - Takealot and Kalahari have tied the knot. Marking the end of an era in South African e-commerce history, Kalahari.com closed its virtual doors just over a week ago. So with final respect, Kalahari, we salute you! With South African shoppers proving to be an online oddity, it would appear as though customer loyalty is on the cards and up for grabs. Alastair Gore tells us the ECR (that's Efficient Consumer Response) needs CPR. In research, a Euromonitor whitepaper has revealed that senior consumers are the future face of luxury markets, while the latest Kasi Star Brands survey looks at ROI and its relationship to price. Have a fantastic week! Shan Radcliffe, Group Head - Retail (@Biz_Retail)
