While 9 August marked the official Women's Day in South Africa, we're dedicating a full month to fabulous females breaking boundaries in business.
In today's top story, I interview none other than
fashion doyenne Marienne Fassler. Ahead of her collection showcase at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Joburg later this week, the award-winning designer and businesswoman shares her thoughts on the evolution of SA's fashion industry.
And keeping the Jozi Fashion Week focus, Ruth Cooper
chats to Ruff Tung designers Bridget Pickering and Ludwig Bausch who will be launching a new inclusive collection this week that aims to create quality garments for women of all sizes.
Another lady boss that caught our attention is
kombucha queen Meghan Werner, founder and brewmistress of Cape Town-based craft beverage company Theonista. In my interview with her, she shares how her love for kombucha blossomed into a thriving business.
Meanwhile in other top news, Japanese fashion and beauty retail chain
Miniso has launched in South Africa. The retailer has more than 2,000 stores in over 50 countries and offers over 3,000 different types of products in a range of categories. Stores are opening first in Gauteng with Durban and Cape Town launches planned for September.
Have an inspiring week!
