A boutique AI advisory firm is expanding its team and seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to help deliver transformative AI solutions across the banking domain. This role offers the chance to contribute to large-scale, business-critical initiatives, where advanced machine learning is used to drive smarter decisions and operational excellence. You’ll be deeply involved in architecting, deploying, and operationalising machine learning systems, working alongside data scientists, engineers, and commercial stakeholders to build fully integrated AI capabilities. Your work will support enhanced customer journeys, streamlined processes, and data-driven outcomes across financial services.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine machine learning solutions tailored to complex use cases within the banking sector.
• Create robust, scalable ML workflows and embed them seamlessly into live production systems.
• Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and business partners to deliver fully realised, end-to-end AI capabilities.
• Release, observe, and support models in AWS-based environments, ensuring smooth operation at scale.
• Uphold high standards for model stability, repeatability, and efficiency across the entire ML lifecycle.
• Capture and share technical approaches, processes, and standards to promote consistency and best practice.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a similar quantitative field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in machine learning, data science, or a closely related discipline.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, with strong practical experience using ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
• Proven experience working with large-scale datasets, including both SQL and NoSQL data stores.
• Essential: Direct experience with AWS cloud services, including SageMaker, S3, Lambda, EC2, Glue, and Redshift.
• Solid understanding of MLOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines for machine learning workflows.
