This is your opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while shaping the foundation of Scytale’s platform, used by SaaS companies around the globe. If you love solving complex engineering challenges and thrive in fast-moving environments, this is the perfect role for you.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- 5+ years DevOps experience, ideally within a SaaS environment
- AWS mastery: EKS, EC2, SQS, SNS, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM (5+ years hands-on)
- Kubernetes and Docker: Advanced experience managing and scaling containerized systems
- CI/CD excellence: 2+ years building and maintaining pipelines; GitHub Actions & ArgoCD are advantageous
- Infrastructure-as-Code: 2+ years with Terraform
- Scripting proficiency: Shell scripting & Python
- Architect-level problem solving: Proven ability to design scalable, reliable cloud architecture for SaaS applications
- Strong collaborator: Excellent communication, self-driven, thrives in high-pace startup environments
- Observability tooling: 2+ years with Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry solutions
Role Details

This is a permanent role, based in Johannesburg (Hybrid), offering a competitive CTC of R1.2m per annum, negotiable based on your experience and skill.
