Dear Hiring Manager

I would like to apply for an opportunity to work as an industrial engineer at your organisation. I am a systems thinker with good communication skills and attention to details, a fast learner, always open to new thinking and ideas, and like to overcome challenges. I can work independently as well as in a team.

I have completed N. Diploma in industrial engineering and am currently registered for my B.tech (part time) at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. Having completed my in-service training has exposed me to the practical side of my field of study and this would help me add value your organisation.

If given an opportunity, I will be an asset to your organisation. My ability to learn fast, adapt to new environment and thrive on challenges will enable me to fit into your organisation, achieve tasks assigned to me and meet deadlines. The process optimization skills (time studies, line balancing, value stream mapping etc.) I acquired during in-service training will help me add value to your organisation.

I am currently continuing to learn more about my field of study through a fixed contract as an industrial engineering trainee in the ceramic industry, at Continental china where I am optimising processes and doing quality control work which includes scrap and waste reduction.

As a teller in the post office I learned the importance of customer service, and this would help me deliver good results to the customer be it internally or outside the organisation if considered for the job. I have acquired excellent verbal and written communication skills as a teller in the post office, as a student during my theoretical study period and also as a student trainee during in-service training, and I am confident that will help me add value to your organisation.
