Anneline Brown
Having worked both locally and internationally I have developed a unique skill set that sets me apart from other candidates. The passion for what I do, the commitment and dedication that I show towards my company as well as a constant drive towards excellence is what makes me, me.
I am an eloquent communicator, well traveled and an eternal optimist. I am currently enrolled as a student at UNISA - BA Psychology - working towards completing my goals.
Show profile Hide profileI have a wealth of experience and knowledge gained from working both locally and internationally and feel that this position aligns very well, in my view, with my skillset and expertise. It is essential, I believe to be an active listener, and assess all information both given and observed in order to quickly learn the "tricks of the trade". What I may fall short of in terms of secretarial diplomas is made up by my in-service training and knowledge as a personal assistant and office manager over the last 8 years.
As my resume testifies, the skills and abilities developed during my work experiences in the real estate, banking, health and manufacturing sectors, along with the insights gained from my employment with international companies would stand me in good stead in your company. Since I am a quick learner I have been promoted twice within one year, more than once in my career. A quintessential part of my work ethic is to strive for excellence in every task that I undertake or am given by ensuring that the little details do not go undetected.
With a natural ability to multi-task and efficiently manage company processes and staff in an amicable and flexible but assertive approach part of my requirements as Executive Assistant is to provide general administration support and manage information to ensure that the Managing Director was kept up to date of any issues (incl. personal matters) that required his direct attention. This position required me to work independently using my own initiation, delegating tasks and when needed, assist the accounts, administration and advertising departments. In my position as Practice Manager, if required, I would undertake the role of executive personal assistant to support the Board of Directors or Principal Therapist with various tasks, ranging from report writing, travel itineraries, visa applications to arranging lunch and coffee deliveries. I've always understood that no job is beneath doing, and because of that view, I see ad-hoc duties as an important part to the smooth running of an office alongside the main duties described in any job description.
Typically, the customer service given to a client is vital to the success of a business. Two of my strengths are my relational and decision making skills that allow me to provide the company's clientele with outstanding customer service in order to retain them as our clients. As a result of this strategy, I have been honoured many times with gifts and cards from clientele and employers showing gratitude for assisting them. Moreover, I have developed excellent written and verbal communication skills. I also have advanced computer skills, and knowledge of employment legislation. I have the capacity to deliver my best work under pressure and because of my extensive traveling experiences I am a culturally competent and friendly individual, and a team player with active listening skills.
I bring with me a wealth of management and administrative knowledge and experience, with a 'can do' and optimistic attitude.
