DHL Stormers players Siya Kolisi, Steven Kitshoff, Scarra Ntubeni, Damian Willemse, Dillyn Leyds, Nama Xaba, Kwenzo Blose, and Chris van Zyl visited the Neighbourhood Old Age Home (NOAH) in Woodstock, Cape Town on 4 June to unpack 1,354kgs of food that was delivered by Pick n Pay's Feed the Nation campaign. Pick n Pay and the DHL Stormers have partnered to help create awareness and raise funds for Pick n Pay's Feed the Nation campaign, which is supporting hundreds of vulnerable communities in lockdown. Each Stormers player has personally donated and collectively they've donated over R50,000 towards Feed the Nation, which to date has raised R52.2m....

Pick n Pay has given food hampers to vulnerable schoolchildren during the lockdown as part of its Feed the Nation campaign. A total of 15,316 hampers have been donated that equates to 1.7 million meals. The hampers included fresh vegetables, rice, maize meal, baked beans, oil, pilchards, sugar beans and milk powder. One-hundred-and-two schools across eight provinces have been assisted to date. The schoolchildren are identified through the retailer's Pick n Pay School Club....

A South African National Parks (SANParks) initiative led by SANParks CEO Fundisile Mketeni distributed food parcels and water tanks to vulnerable communities bordering Marakele National Park in Limpopo.

Hostex 2020 was a hospitality industry expo that took place in early March at Sandton Convention Centre. It gathered over 5000 visitors to connect with more than 200 producers, manufacturers and distributors of hospitality-related products and services.

The Women of Excellence business leadership event took place at the Alfajiri Hub at Johannesburg's Maboneng precinct on 18 March, despite coronavirus (Covid-19) concerns. The second annual Beauty Revolution Festival took place at the Sandton Convention Centre from Friday, 13 March to Saturday, 14 March. The festival attracted some of South Africa's top influencers, media and content creators and provided guests with an opportunity to shop some of the world's biggest brands in beauty, lifestyle and personal care.

Global network for women in advertising and creative industries, SheSays, held its first Cape Town event of 2020 on 10 March. SheSays Cape Town co-director Anelde Greeff moderated the panel, which included head of marketing and communications at Zeitz Mocaa Annicia Manyaapelo, CEO of RushTush Rushda Moosajee and media consultant and author Vanessa Raphaely. The panellists shared ideas and stories on reinvention, handling failure, and staying motivated, creative and innovative.

Members of the Entrepreneurs' Organisation (EO) and their friends and families took part in a special spekboom tree planting ceremony at the site of the Great Labyrinth near Klapmuts on 7 March. Proceedings began with a word from premier Alan Winde. Chappies has a new limited-edition flavour called Chappies Cola. A launch event was held to celebrate the new flavour. Chappies SA commissioned Josias Mpyana, also known as The Chappies Artist, to create an art piece that expresses the joy he gets from blowing bubbles of Chappies Cola. The new flavour is available at select wholesalers, taxi ranks and spaza shops nationwide.
