Sponsored by Nedbank Corporate Property Finance, and one of the highlights on the South African property and sustainability calendar, the Green Building Convention is highly regarded for delivering an engaging programme by securing thought leaders from around the globe who deliver inspiration and insight into the latest trends worldwide.

For the second year running the BrainWave component of the event will be taking place in the exhibition hall. Based on the popular Ted talks concepts this stage features all walks of life with an idea to help build better buildings and contribute to changing the way the world is built. Talks are limited to ten minutes and the presentations and demonstrations are presented by students and researchers who work in this field.

    Invitation for submissions

The GBCSA is calling for submissions from students and pioneers to present their ground-breaking concepts on the BrainWave stage. Candidates can apply by submitting applications online at
    www.gbcsa.org.za by Friday, 1 August.

The GBCSA awards were launched two years ago in recognition of the significant transformation that has taken place in South Africa and there are two categories under which individuals can enter, or be nominated by others. These include the Established Green Leader and the Rising Green Star. The deadline for submissions and nominations is Friday, 22 August.

The GBCSA is an independent, non-profit organisation and is reliant on the funds raised through sponsorships to bring together this annual ground-breaking event. Additional opportunities exist for sponsorship - from the Brainwave stage to the leadership awards and the leadership dinner - and sponsors are afforded good exposure through the event.
