Set Point Zambia returns to Copper Belt expo

Set Point Zambia, a group of companies offering a vast range of products and services to the mining industry, is returning to the 2nd Copperbelt Mining Trade Expo and Conference (CBM-TEC) set to take place from 5-6 May 2015, in Kitwe.

Successfully launched in 2014, the exhibition attracted 92 exhibitors, 1600 visitors, 140 conference delegates, including key government representatives. "The inaugural show added great value to our business and gave us a good platform to showcase our products and services to key stakeholders and potential clients outside the Copper Belt region as well as the DR Congo clients," said Felix Ng'ambi, Director of Set Point Zambia.

Apart from products and services offered by our companies: Meter Systems, Pneumax, Letaba Pumps, Set Point Gopro Zambia and WearCheck, we will have Ingersoll Rand products, such as compressors, winches and impact tools on display and for sale at this year's show.

Reliability solutions

Wearcheck will be promoting its reliability solutions offering, which includes vibration monitoring and thermal imaging as well as laser alignment and balancing.

"The concept of analysing oil samples from a machine or component is similar to that of taking a blood sample from a person - the results determine the health status of the unit," said Ng'ambi. WearCheck's diagnostic team then analyses the results and recommends how to rectify any abnormal findings.

Set Point Gopro Zambia will display its hopper and loco wheels, torque guide suspension and skip guide rollers. Set Point GoPro Zambia also repairs and sells these products at its workshop in Kitwe.

Meter Systems will showcase various products ranging from flow meters, nozzles to hoses and dispensers. Pneumax will also be on hand to attend to enquiries on pneumatics and automation solutions in the mining industry.

Letaba, the pumping division, will display its dewatering fleet and other pump solutions including submersible, self-priming pumps, mag-drive, diaphragm as well as blowers.
