The QAWC, which provides a range of services to quadriplegics and paraplegics in the region, offers three independent living centres providing permanent accommodation to quadriplegics and paraplegics, an outreach project, a transport project, awareness campaigns, a prevention campaign, medical supplies and assistive devices, a driver education programme, peer counseling as well as ongoing support and general assistance. The proceeds from the golf day donated to QAWC by GrandWest will help to alleviate some of the financial burden on the organisation in delivering its much needed services.

Miss SA Liesl Laurie handed over the cheque for R150,000 to representatives of the QAWC after the golf day.
