New Hope School receives donation
New Hope School is a non-profit organisation and one of the largest schools for special needs education in South Africa. It is the only school offering an all-inclusive curriculum model catering for three different learning streams as part of the Department of Basic Education's policy of inclusivity.
The school focuses on the education and training of learners from diverse cultural backgrounds with cerebral palsy, physical disabilities and traumatic brain injuries as well as learners with specific barriers to learning. The logistical and operational requirements of a school such as New Hope are significant.
"We are looking forward to receiving the paving. Wheelchair friendly playgrounds, footpaths and parking areas will be developed to ensure accessibility to all our facilities," says head of marketing for New Hope School, Tina Fitzgerald.
