All whites excluded from BBEEE - proposal
Afriforum has slammed the proposed amendments to the Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment Act (BBEEE) that prevents white women and white people with disabilities from qualifying from BEE policies.
Fin24 reports that the changes stipulate that only black people qualify in terms of BBEEE and that 'black' people are defined as Africans, Coloureds and Indians only but includes all those immigrants who have been naturalised in South Africa.
Afriforum says its lawyers are studying the proposed legislation before lodging any formal objections to the bill, Fin24 reports.
