New Rawson franchisee appointed for Boland area
In his previous position, Els was the financial manager for Shoprite in Nigeria, where, in just three years, they increased the number of Shoprite stores from one to six. Els has also held financial management positions with DCD, Dorbyl and a management accountant position at Tiger Brands.
The new franchise offers him tremendous scope because he will be selling and leasing office and industrial space throughout the Boland - in Paarl, Wellington, Stellenbosch, Malmesbury, Tulbagh, Riebeek Kasteel and Riebeek West. In addition, should opportunities arise in the Cape Metropole or from contacts from existing clients, he will be able to capitalise on them. "Commercial properties in smaller towns typically offer investors higher yields as they come with strong long-term tenants that move fairly infrequently," says Els.
Els had also been mandated to handle agricultural properties throughout the Western Cape and, although this will not be his primary focus, it is an area in which he is especially interested as there is a growing demand for boutique wine estates and general agricultural small holdings throughout the country districts of the Western Cape.
