The Poyntons Building in Tshwane was shut down last week after it emerged that it did not comply with safety regulations.
“As a caring government, we need to take the safety of our staff members seriously. I have been receiving regular briefings from DCS management and I am pleased that we are well on our way to resolving all issues raised by the City of Tshwane,” Minister of Justice and Correctional Services advocate Michael Masutha said.
The prohibition notice was lifted on Monday by the City of Tshwane's Emergency Services Department.
“This has been made possible due to close collaboration between the city, the Department of Public Works, DCS, Defence and the landlord,” Correctional Services said.
