Ligwalagwala FM and partners care for the elderly

Said Ligwalagwala FM's Phumlile "Lanyambose" Mthethwa who led the initiative, "This is something that is very close to my heart as most of the time elderly citizens are abandoned and in their old age. I believe that they still need to be cared for and pampered."

Most of the elderly people do not have care givers at home they rely on Sikhulile Mhola Service Centre for daily meals and assistance on taking their medication on time.

"I was very much taken by the moment and I am honoured to be a leader of a radio station that prides itself on uplifting community members," said Ligwalagwala FM station manager, Rio Mabunda.
