Underpriviledged children entertained by Nu-Metro

In the spirit of celebrating Human Rights Day on 21 March 2012, Nu Metro Cinemas embarked on a campaign at select sites to entertain children from underprivileged backgrounds to a screening of Open Season 3.

Through this initiative, children from Akani Pre-School, The Bethany House Trust, Othandweni, St. Mary's Children's Home, Kids Haven Home and Jacaranda Children's Home were invited to a morning screening of the film at participating Nu Metro Cinemas. The children were also treated to an assortment of activities at the cinemas as well as confectionary - all in all a day for them to remember.

Enjoying human freedom

"We were thrilled to have been able to partner with these amazing people and the children they care for," said Natasha Britnell, marketing executive for Nu Metro Cinemas. "Hopefully they had a magical movie experience on a day where we were recognising, appreciating and enjoying our human freedoms. Nu Metro Cinemas wanted to treat these children with an entertaining experience and recognise these institutions and the remarkable work they do with these children in providing safe and healthy environments for them to learn and grow - contributing to make South Africa a better place for all!"
