Cyber crimes up by 20% in two years

According to The Mercury report, PWC's director Trevor White says that 3877 people in 78 countries were interviewed for this survey and points out that criminals were turning to cyber crime because it was perceived as being less hazardous than other crimes.

According to The Mercury, he says a common method used by criminals is to gain access to a company's list of clients and then divert payments by sending an e-mail to the client stating that the company's banking details had changed and all payments should be made to the new account belonging to the criminal.
