Ex-taxman does battle in CCMA
Lackay left SARS last year in the wake of the rogue investigative unit scandal and is now claiming constructive dismissal, saying his resignation was forced because his employment was intolerable following the appointment of commissioner Tom Moyane.
He wants the CCMA to order SARS to pay him a year's salary in compensation.
Lackay's counsel, Paul Pretorius SC, said the conduct of SARS officials made it " impossible" for his client to do his job.
