A position on the bench of the country's highest court, became vacant when Justice Thembile Skweyiya retired.
The Judicial Service Commission will conduct the interviews for the position in Johannesburg on Thursday.
All four shortlisted candidates are woman.
The candidates are:
On the same day, the JSC would also interview Jusitice Mandisa Muriel Lindelwa Maya for the vacant position of deputy president of the Supreme Court of Appeal.
She was nominated by President Jacob Zuma.
