Telkom gets negative rating from S&P
Business Live reports that ratings agency, Standard & Poor has revised Telkom SA's outlook to negative on the basis of its business profile, which shows that there is a downward trend in fixed-line voice traffic and operating losses for its mobile division.
According to the Business Live report, S&P says it has revised its assessment of Telkom's risk profile from"fair" to "satisfactory" and has given the organisation an overall BBB long-term credit rating. It says the outlook for Telkom has been revised from "stable" to "negative".
