Stats SA's Lehohla to hand over Census 2011 results
Conducted from 10 October to 31 October 2011, the census provides policy makers with crucial data about the size of the population, their geographical location and access to services, among other things.
The results will be handed over to the President at the Sefako M Makgatho Presidential Guest House in Pretoria.
Over the course of the census, 14.6 million doors across the country were knocked on.
Census 2011 was the third national census since the dawn of democracy in 1994.
In December 2011, Minister in the Presidency for National Planning Trevor Manuel said he was satisfied and confident with the manner in which the census was conducted.
At the time, he said it was fundamentally important for South Africa to know how many citizens it had as well as their access to services such as water and energy.
The data will be available on various platforms including the internet, a mobisite as well as on Apple iStore, among others.
