The number of high-net-worth individuals grew by 11% in the past year according to the World Wealth Report from Capgemini and Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management. High-net-worth individuals are defined as those people with $1-million or more to invest.
According to the report, most of these wealthy people entrust their money to professional financial and investment managers as this leads to a greater accumulation of wealth over time.
