Gondwana appeals to help save the rhino

Gondwana Game Reserve, situated along the Garden Route, is inviting all South Africans to experience an exclusive and critically important black rhino anti-poaching and conservation initiative in a build-up to World Rhino Day on 22 September 2012.
Gondwana appeals to help save the rhino

Given the endangered status of the desert black rhino and the dramatic rise in rhino poaching, it is imperative to keep an anti-tracking device in the horn of all rhino. These need to be replaced every few years. Gondwana is inviting a small group of people to share in this thrilling experience to raise funds to further their Black Rhino Conservation Programme. This will include participation in the rhino capture and horn implant; an informational talk on black rhino conservation; and a theoretical and practical explanation on chemical immobilisation of rhino with Dr. Brendan Tindal, a black rhino specialist.

Throughout the experience, all of Gondwana Game Reserve's luxuries will be available exclusively which includes three nights five star accommodation at Kwena Lodge or in private bush villas, all gourmet meals, snacks and beverages, private game viewer and an expert field guide for the duration of the stay.
