Entries for Cambridge AS and A Level examinations in South Africa increased by 5% in 2015/16 compared to the year before. In addition, entries for Cambridge Primary Checkpoint rose by 24% in 2015/16 compared to 2014/15. The most popular Cambridge AS and A Levels in South Africa are: English Language and Mathematics.
There are also more Cambridge Schools in South Africa teaching Cambridge programmes and qualifications than ever before – almost 100 Cambridge schools in the country.
Cambridge International Examinations, part of the University of Cambridge, provides qualifications to over 10,000 schools worldwide in more than 160 countries. Globally there has been 10% growth in entries across all Cambridge qualifications this year, including 11% growth in entries for Cambridge International A Levels and 8% for Cambridge IGCSEs.
