CRU's Africa Fertiliser Agribusiness Conference 2018 to promote investment, partnership and innovation
CRU’s Events CEO, Nicola Coslett said: "Through our unique partnership with AFAP, the conference provides unrivalled networking opportunities with senior decision-makers from the biggest fertilizer buyers and manufacturers in some of the world’s fastest-growing fertilizer markets. The event has gone from strength to strength, and CRU and AFAP are looking forward to continuing to build the event."
The CRU Africa Fertilizer Agribusiness conferences attract more than 300 attendees, including senior executives from across the international fertilizer supply chain and key stake-holders in African agribusiness.
Event attendees value the conference for the excellent networking opportunities with hard-to-reach senior decision-makers and for the agenda, which ensures they’re equipped with the latest tools and business strategies to take advantage of the opportunities available within the region.
Jason Scarpone, president and CEO of the African Fertilizer and Agribusiness Partnership (AFAP) added: "The African fertiliser industry has come of age and is increasingly well positioned to contribute to economic growth and poverty reduction across the continent. The fourth conference discussions will go well beyond just fertiliser usage to look more closely at how this commodity and other inputs are contributing to agricultural transformation across the continent."
Conference presentation and agenda
The agenda will feature senior personnel from across the industry, representing organisations including the Western Cape Government, Ma’aden, OCP Africa, Notore Chemical Industries plc, Yara, Yargus, Indorama Eleme Fertilizer and Chemicals Ltd, ETG Inputs, AGRA and the Agro Dealers Association of South Africa.
Presentations at the conference will include the latest updates on the African strategies of the world’s largest fertiliser producers, case studies from major agribusiness stakeholders on how to boost trade, an agribusiness investors panel that will discuss the challenge of providing finance to these sectors.
The 2018 event will also feature the inaugural Investment Showcase offering brownfield projects in Africa seeking capital investment, the chance to make a showcase presentation to an audience of global investors and financiers.
