Registration now open for STR.CRD 2013

"STR CRD is now in its fourth year and we are excited about this year's local and international speaker line-up and exhibitors," said the organisers.

"For the previous two years STR.CRD was hosted at the Maboneng District; however, as the festival grows and as part of our long-term vision to explore new spaces this year we moved to Constitution Hill."

This year STR.CRD is also introducing two new premier brands as the main event sponsors, namely Nokia and Jameson Irish Whiskey. "At STR.CRD 2012, Nokia was involved on a smaller scale, therefore it makes us proud that they have come back this year and committing to be involved on a larger scale. It was an obvious choice to have Jameson on board due to its recognisable premier status as a brand. This shows that STR.CRD is growing into a credible enough event that garners key strategic partners."

Top design, fashion, music and street culture

The annual STR.CRD attracts some of the world's top design, fashion, music and street culture audience and this year is no different. The speaker line-up has a strong emphasis on collaboration and using the streets as a foundation of creativity to inspire what you do, whether it be fashion, photography, music and more.

On Thursday, 26 September, STR.CRD kicks off with M.O.S 2013 (Manual of Style), a curated fashion event showcasing all featured brands. Friday 27 September is booth opening evening, which will also serve as a trade evening where fashion buyers meet with brands to facilitate potential sales. Saturday 28 September is a cross-pollination of ideas as various panel discussions take place featuring local and international speakers. Simultaneously on Saturday, booths will be open to the public. Later on in the evening a music festival with an impressive artist line-up will take place.
