Debut Freddie Van'Dango album "Tonik"

Rolling Stone SA magazine named Freddie "The Idols Renegade": "Freddie's voice is expansive and undisciplined - in the best possible way. Something like Pete Doherty meets Freddie Mercury with a scrap of Julian Casablancas thrown in for good measure - but, still, distinctively Van'Dango's."

Van'Dango currently resides in the house of Van'Dango (a house filled with similar minded artists and musicians) in Melville and spends most of his time composing, writing and recording new and interesting, emotionally charged, rock- and jazz-influenced music.

Van'Dango said: "Dancy rock, pop and romance with killer melodies are what you can expect from this CD. The kids like it. I really like the work of Charles Bukowski. His work served as inspiration for quite a few ideas and images on my debut album. You'll hear it on the opening track "Tonik".

The first single off the album, Shadow, is currently playlisted on Highveld Stereo, UCT Radio, MFM, RMR and Bay fm.
