Jazz Festival's Free Community Concert
Also on stage will be the Western Cape Education Department's All Stars and, for the first time, SphaMadelse, winner of the Open Mic sessions, which were held at Grand West earlier this year .
With the festival now sold out, music fans will still have an opportunity to see these jazz greats and experience a taste of The Cape Town International Jazz Festival. The free concert offers a great evening of music, including jazz and jazz fusion and starts at 5pm.
"We hope that people who do not work or live in the city will take this opportunity to experience the buzz of city life. It's a great opportunity to stay on after work, enjoy the evening, and experience the vibe of the Jazz Festival. The square has many busy pubs, restaurants, and hotels, and the free concert promises some great music echoing off the surrounding historic buildings," said Andrew Boraine, CEO of the Cape Town Partnership.
