Funded by the National Lottery Development Trust Fund (NLDTF), City Hall Sessions is a project of The Cape Town Partnership's Creative Cape Town programme and is aimed at bringing a diversity of world-class music performance into the heart of the city. City Hall Sessions works within the historic space of the City Hall, pushing boundaries and diversity of presentation.

Human rights theme

With the Human Rights Day public holiday the next day, each performer has chosen a composition that he believes acknowledges the importance of the human rights that we have won or, maybe, have yet to attain in the world. Between sets, DJ Jumbo Vanrenen will serve up a selection of mostly African and reggae tracks, including many "human rights and struggle anthems" from his extensive collection.

Tickets for this show are priced at R75 (unreserved) and R120 (reserved seating upstairs), and are available from Computicket.

The concert starts at 8pm.
