The Ultimix@6 is one of the most popular features on 5FM. Hosted on The Fresh Drive by resident DJs, 5FM's own DJ Fresh and DJ Euphonik as well as DJ Dino Bravo and DJ Kent, the Ultimix@6 has released two albums. The first, "Fresh Drive Ultimix@6" album was released in December, 2010, and its follow-up "The Fresh Drive Ultimix @6 Vol 2" is just about to hit CD stores.
5FM embarked on a campaign in September and October to find a new, rising Ultimix@6 star DJ. Hundreds of aspiring amateur DJs sent their mixes through and the winner, who will be announced on The Fresh Drive on Monday, 31 October, 2011, between 6pm and 7pm, will join the Big Four - Fresh, Euphonik, Dino Bravo and Kent - on their Ultimix@6 album launch tour in November. The winner will also win a month's residency on The Fresh Drive as a brand new Ultimix@6 DJ and secure R15 000 worth of equipment from Soul Candi.
All four resident Ultimix DJs will be spinning tracks at the three Ultimix@6 parties in November. You can catch them at:
