Nelson Mandela Memorial Concert tonight

An array of music industry organisations, which includes Airco, SAMRO, RISA, SAMPA, AESA, CWUSA among others, have aligned in unity also to honour Madiba. In a joint statement, they salute Madiba who "taught us to live a fulfilled life and serve our people selflessly", they said.

The industry is grateful to Nelson Mandela who once said: "South Africa is fortunate to have a strong cultural sector, rich in potential and emerging talent to feed and sustain its future growth."

The music industry salutes an extraordinary man who lived an exceptional life. We commit ourselves to uphold the ideals he lived for.
