BA to provide bicycle drop-off service for Cape Argus Cycle Tour
A payment of R300 per bicycle per one-way flight will apply. To make payment customers will need to call the British Airways Contact Centre on 0860 I FLY BA (0860 4 359 22) or +27 (0)11 921 0222, or the kulula contact centre on 0861 KULULA (585852) depending on which airline they are travelling with.
Following payment, customers will receive a handling fee receipt together with comprehensive procedures to ensure that their bicycles are ready for transport. Drop-off and collection areas will also be included in the procedures, as well as maps to these areas.
Customers can drop off their bicycles between 24 February and 6 March 2014, to be transported to Cape Town. Proof of identification (ID book, passport or driver's licence), the handling fee receipt and flight booking will need to be presented when dropping off your bicycle.
Customers wishing to collect their bicycles between 24 February and 4 March will need to collect them from BidAir Cargo at Cape Town International Airport. From 5 March, bicycles will be collectable from the multi-storey Parkade 1 at Cape Town International Airport.
British Airways and kulula will make every effort to ensure that bicycles arrive in Cape Town before or on the same flight as the customer, but this is not always possible due to the number of bicycles that need to be transported and the space restrictions per aircraft.
