Makeover for Sardinia Bay Golf course

The newly launched Sardinia Bay Golf & Wildlife Estate has made moves to improve the handicap of a nine-hole short course that has up until now been regarded as something of a 'fun' golf venue.
Makeover for Sardinia Bay Golf course

According to Leon Erasmus, development specialist at Re/Max in Port Elizabeth, Sardinia Bay Golf & Wildlife is being transformed into a testing nine-hole short course with links features. Initially made up of nine par threes, it now comprises five par fours and four par threes on the front nine and three par fours and six par threes on the back nine, played from different tees. Zoning approval has been obtained for three of the holes to be dropped from the layout and three new ones developed on a new piece of land between the clubhouse and the Seaview Road. As part of the zoning approval, par for the new nine is expected to be 35.
