Swimming SA coffers run dry

According to IOL, South African swimmers will have to pay for their own flights and accommodation when they compete in the Fina World Championships in Barcelona later this year.

Major sponsor, Telkom pulled the plug on their US$1.25 million per year deal, leaving Swimming South Africa cash-strapped. While the federation has been canvassing for a new backer, none have jumped on board.
