Sri Lankan ship awaits its fate in Durban Harbour

The saga of a Sri Lankan cargo vessels that has been detained in Durban Harbour has still not been resolved amid claims that it has been sold and changed its port of registration according to a report in The Daily News.

The Daily News reports that the South African Maritime Safety Authority (Samsa) claims the vessel, the MV Lanka Mahapola has changed it flag from Sri Lanka to Tanzania but said it had not been told that the ship had been sold.
