African airlines face rising jet fuel costs amid Middle East supply disruption



Rob Shuter, the group's chief financial officer says that of the Top Ten phones, the BlackBerry 8520 model was the most popular. Vodacom says that its sales of smartphones rose from 406Â 000 to 3,7-million in the June quarter.
According to Shuter, the smartphone penetration in South Africa had climbed to 16% and indications are that it is still climbing.
The group reported that its revenue increased to almost R15,7-billion for the quarter. Data revenue increased by 35,4% to R1,8-billion as data customers grew by 37,7% in line with the increased sales of smartphones.
