Class of 2012 can meet Matrics Uploaded team

Matrics Uploaded, SABC Education's multimedia curriculum programme, is off on a nationwide tour of Mzansi this year. The Class of 2012 will get the chance to meet the Matrics Uploaded team at various youth centres throughout the country where visitors will learn how to become citizen journalists.

Visit a youth centre near you to learn all about citizen journalism. Tell us what's news in your school and stand a chance to feature on the live show. Lucky visitors will also win awesome prizes.

The youth centres and dates of visits are:

  • North West: Saturday, 4 August at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium
  • Free State: Thursday, 16 August in Kutluanong
  • Northern Cape: Saturday, 18 August in Colesburg
  • Western Cape: Saturday, 25 August in Knysna
  • Eastern Cape: Saturday, 1 September in Umtata
  • KwaZulu-Natal: Thursday, 6 September in Nongoma
  • Mpumalanga: Thursday, 13 September in Acornhoek
  • Limpopo: Saturday, 15 September in Lenyenye
  • Gauteng: Saturday, 22 September in Orange Farm

    Interact live with teachers

    Matrics Uploaded offers a full course of multimedia lessons across six core subjects - Physical Science, Mathematics, English First Additional Language, Life Sciences, Mathematical Literacy and Accounting. Matrics Uploaded 2012 also offers an extra resource feature of questions and answers on facebook which allows learners to interact live with teachers from 6PM - 7PM on weekdays. The show is supported by lessons and questions which are available for download on the website www.sabc1.co.za/matrics.
